Shree Khadse said that experiments of artificial rain were carried out in sixty villages of Beed, Jalna, Aurangabad, Parbhani, Buldhana, Latur and Usanabad districts. There was rain from 4mm to 34mm in various villages. Just 5mm of rain is enough for the growth of the crops. Shree Khadse finally said that the experiments of artificial rain will continue after an assessment of rain to save the crops.
The Center will give separate fund to Maharashtra for undertaking various works through NAREGA for the “Farms with Water Storage Campaign”. Shree Eknathrao Khadse told the reporters that the Center has informed Maharashtra that the fund should be properly used in the drought affected districts.
